Before Endodontic Treatment
This procedure will be performed using local anesthesia. There are usually no restrictions after the procedure concerning driving or returning to work. A doctor is available for consultation at all times should a problem arise after your treatment.
Continue all medications for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems and any other conditions as recommended by your physician. If there is a question, please call our office prior to your appointment.
Please eat a full breakfast or lunch as applicable.
Premedication
If you have been advised by your physician to use antibiotic premedication because of a certain medical condition or joint replacement, please make sure you are on the appropriate antibiotic on the day of your appointment. If you are unsure or have any questions about this, please call our office prior to your appointment.
Pregnant
Women who are pregnant must provide a letter from an OB prior to treatment including clearance for use of local anesthetics and x rays.
** We fully understand that you may be in pain or discomfort prior to your appointment, however, if at all possible we recommend avoiding any pain medications (including those over the counter such as advil or tylenol) prior to your consultation. Use of these medications may cloud the results of our tests and could prevent proper diagnosis of where the problem is coming from. Once we have made a proper diagnosis we will be happy to provide you with pain medication in the office.
